This captures what I've been thinking so perfectly. I went to a very academic high school, graduated from University of Cambridge with a first, moved to New York for my career. Proud of my multi-tasking and fast-paced abilities. But as you say, after becoming a mum, I had a serious reckoning about my capability vs capacity. Loved this, thank you!

Oh I'm so glad this hit Mica! Isn't it interesting when you finally see that capacity is finite how much of a relief and shock it is? I find I have to constantly remind myself about this. Sending you a good dose of enoughness :)

Cleo Wade wrote or once said - because I am capable doesn’t always make me responsible. And I loved that!

Ohhhhh I love that!! I will have to remember that one! Thank you for sharing Krupa!

So good! I used to wear a barely burned out badge of honor. But even before I became a mom I started to see that leisure isn’t lazy it’s actually a luxury and that prepped me for motherhood. So even when I know I can probably add more to my capacity, I realize I rather be capable in other ways.

Ohhh - I like the idea of being capable in other ways (like napping or reading a book!). Thank you for sharing Amanda!
